Village that I go to weekly!!

One God's Angels that I had the priviledge to take care of!!

Hello from Ghana

Hello Family and Friends!!!

It has been so long since I have written. So much has happend and going on in my life here in Ghana!!

I am having an Awesome time in the Lord and meeting so many people!!

Well - where to start!

I put up a picture of my new braids but now I am about to get it done again. I have had them over 4 weeks. I have enjoyed them! Not doing my hair everyday is a Blessing!! So I am giving my hair a break for a week and then getting it done again this week!

I have the opportunity to go to a village weekly with our Community Development Team. Mercy Ships in addition to the Medical care that we provide, we also have several projects in the community including:
well building
adding onto a local school
AIDS education with the local churches
Ministry opportunities at local prisons and psychiatric hospital
Smaller projects throughout the community

The village that is in my pictures has been an awesome weekly experience! The children have become a Living Water project!! The children come to watch the men at work and one of the ladies on the team started a ministry with the children. We do singing, Bible reading with the children, and play!! It is always a fun time. It is so awesome to work with the children and share the love of Christ!!! Although most of the children and the families have heard about and know Jesus, they mix many other beliefs with Christinity. So it is amazing to go with Pam and to see that God has not only sent drinking water but He has sent Mercy Ships as His vessel to spread living water with the Truth of His Word!! The Children have open hearts! I know that seeds are being planted and the Truth of Jesus will be forever in their hearts!! We Pray walk through the village every week and we are working on getting Bibles for all the older children and some workbooks for the younger!! God is using the children of the village to make a change and Bring light where there is darkness!!! I count it an honor to go each week on my day off!! Please be in Prayer for this village and the children that you see in the pictures!! They Bless me weekly!!

Also God has had me studying the Book of Ruth and Esther. It is amazing how God continues to grow me and teach me His word while I am here!!!Although I have read these books before- Faith, Trust, Love, Obedience, and Holiness of these women have made me want the Lord even more in my life and for me to Always be Obedient for His will for me life!! I continue to learn here and before I left that their is no Peace in life outside of living and seeking God's Will for your life!! His Word is Life and We are here on this earth to Serve Him only!!! I am so excited to serve Him here and to continue for the next stage of my life. I know that God is calling me to further missions here in Africa! So Please keep me in your Prayers!!

I am currently in two Bible studies that are a Blessing to me. One is a group of nurses and we are each others' accoutability partners. We meet once a week and are studying Community, which is perfect with our current living situations!! My other Bible study is with some new friends that I have met and we rotate and someone different speaks weekly. They both have been great in encouragement for the Word!!!

Community Living has also been an experience for me on the ship!! It is over 300 crew members and dayworkers. I currently have only 4 roommates now- (2 have left) so it is a sacrifice to find time to be with the Lord. At home I lived by myself and spent time with the Lord whenever I wanted. Now I have to Plan a time and find a place for study and Prayer. So being around people all the time has been an adjustment but a Blessing at the same time. Just the things that used to be common are not- leaving my home at any time, getting in my car and going where I want, or taking a walk by myself. These things do not happen here- I don't have a car, I can't drive here and women cannot leave the ship alone!!! But as Always God has used this to grow me in the Community living and to know that no matter the situation we must be content in Him and Seek Him- find time for Him- no matter the time, place or situation!!

My life as nurse on the Ward here has continued to be a Blessing. I will try to add some more pictures of the patients to the site. Miracles are here on the Ward!!! Everyday I see patients that lives are changed and they are now Alive and no longer Outcasts. We currently have a five year old that has never been allowed to be around other children or go to school because of his cleft lip and palate. He is now so excited that he can now go to school and have friends!! We also had a man that had huge keloids hanging from his ears and neck. We removed 8 pounds of keloids from him! They grew over four years and his wife left him. He left here in hopes that he would go back to his home and find his wife and she would take him back after removal of the keloids!! I also recently had a little girl with burns all over her from falling in a fire while having a seizure. We released burn contractures on her! Another burn patient with contractures had acid poured all over her from her husband!! It is just amazing to see God and His work here on the ship!! The physical and spirtual healing is beyond words!!! He is the ultimate Physican of this ship!!To Him all the glory!!! We continue in spreading His love and the Word to our patients!! The stories are just endless!!

I will try to keep more stories on line!!

I love each of you and thanks so much for your continued Prayers!!!!

For His Glory!!!
